There is nothing better than waking up each morning knowing that I get to make more ladies Glam"More-us! I really love what I do. I love the smell of hair products in the air when I first enter my salon, and the smile begins to spread across my face. I look forward to the clients who have come to me for years as well as a the new faces I see on a weekly basis. I love the quietness of the morning as I begin to prepared for another day, and as the day progresses, the laughter, the sharing of experiences and even more the smile upon a clients face when I turn them to the mirror. Thats right! I am the stylist that keeps you from looking in the mirror. I am that confident that I know that when you see the results you will be more than happy that you gave me a chance to Glam you up! I have to say that is enough to keep me going in for work each morning. Doing hair is almost like a transformation for most of my clients. How they seem to metamorph from quiet, maybe sleepy, some conversation to...OMG I love my hair, or I am going somewhere today I look amazing, or wait until my boyfriend sees this! There is nothing quite like it! How do you feel when you leave the salon? Are you thinking of all the places you can go to show off your new 'do, or the smile upon your spouse's face once they see you? I hope that all of you ladies experience these things when leaving your stylist. A great hairstylist can be hard to find, but once you find them, I find that most clients stick around! All Naturale

I love hair extensions and wigs and the many options that they both provide for me, but as beautiful as they are, I make sure to never forget about my natural hair! I love taking care of my natural hair. To take care of  my hair in between styling I shampoo once a week when wearing a wig, and only after removing my extensions. I also make my own at-home protein and conditioning treatments.

my at-home protein treatment is really simple. I just crack a couple of eggs and mix it with olive oil. After the mixture is completely mixed i apply it to my hair and allow it to air dry.

After it is completely dry (the hair will become really hard) I rinse the treatment out and proceed to conditioning.

For a deep conditioning at-home treatment I absolutely love to use Silicon Mix as the conditioner using only one part, one part Agave or honey and one part vegetable glycerin into a tinting bowl. i apply this to my hair and allow it to sit for up to thirty minutes. You can always add a plastic cap for even deeper penetration of these ingredients!

After the conditioner has reached it's time limits, I rinse, apply more vegetable glycerin (this is perfect for dry or damaged hair) and blow dry on the lowest settings. Check out my results?

Versatile Style

I really love everything there is about hair. Hair is definitely a form of art, so every now and then I love to do something different with that canvas provided to me ( my hair). So Glam/More-Us Gals i did a versatile sew in. the process is really simple and not that much different from your average sew in technique. I really love this style because it gives you the ability to wear your hair extensions with fewer limitations in styling. I can wear it in a high bun, or ponytail or flowing down my back. this time I decide to do a braided style. So I braided up one side of my hair and allow the opposite side to cascade over my shoulder. It's really fun, flirty and feminine, and perfect for any special occasion. The two styles blended together gives this hairdo added excitement and textures. It allows you to enjoy both putting your hair up and letting it hang! What do you ladies think. You can check out how I achieved this style on my Youtube channel below: http://youtu.be/91saYNWTnU4

Do What With My Hair?

So I was invited out to go with a friend to celebrate her birthday, and I had no idea what to do with my hair! You ladies know that we can be really indecisive when it comes to an outfit and our hair can be even more  of a dilemma! I am usually really good at these kind of things, but with my recent retreat to my home, avoiding all social activities, I kind of felt like I had lost my touch. I can usually envision the perfect outfit, shoes, what color to paint my nails....but my HAIR!
I was stuck on pause on what to do with my hair. Is this what a lack of involvement in social activities does to girl? Do we somehow forget to get glammed up? Of course we don't! It's in our DNA to do these things! so I narrowed it down to two styles.

And finally went with a simple bun. It was classic, and you can never go wrong with a high bun! What are some of your go to styles? Do you prefer a bun or long curls? Which hairstyle would you have went with? I think a high bun is the perfect way to show off your facial features, display those fly earrings and give a little attention to your neck, a place that goes unnoticed at times!

Platinum Blond Bombshell

As I mentioned before I have been having some fun with hair color! The first color was a beautiful, deep, mysterious red ombre wig that I made with some beauty store hair. Which I really loved. I received so many compliments, I mean people were stopping me everywhere and an overload of attention from men, and I was ready to try more! So I did something I thought that I would NEVER do. I went back to the beauty store and picked up some platinum blonde hair extensions.
Now this
was really stepping out of the box for me! I had never thought, imagined or pictured myself rocking this hair color. But hey, Nene Leakes rocks her platinum blonde like no other, so I gave it a try! It came out really good. Although I probably will not wear this color out, it was fun giving it a try! The hair was very inexpensive and I received so many compliments! What do you think? Step out of the box with me! You can check out how I made this wig by logging onto Youtube! Hot Like Fire

I have been waiting to try our hair color for so long, and with previous attempts of coloring my natural hair not giving me the results that I wanted and ruining my glam'more-us locks, I gave up! I ignored all of the lovely colors that draped the heads of ladies passing by, I walked straight by the tempting colors displayed in any beauty store and continued to only dream or fantasize about what it would look like to have some of those colors looped and swirling throughout the curls flowing over my shoulders. But, that didn't stop the urge to try it out. So I decided to try the easiest and probably the safest alternative option and made myself a wig. Yes ladies, I purchased me some hair extensions and went to work on creating myself the flyest wig I had ever made, and I absolutely fell in love with this color. The hair was already colored and ombred for me with a beautiful, deep red color. I thought it was marvelous against my skin, and no more fantasizing for me! I did it! So what about you, have you been daydreaming about the perfect color? What are you going to do about it? That's right! Get up, get out and go grab you some hair extensions. I could give you a little hand! Just log onto Youtube and watch my video tutorial on how I made this quick weave! GlamsCorner : K.Michelle Inspired Quickweave or  at: http://youtu.be/rolTYB_Yuus.
